LOVE OUR CORN STOVE
We purchased our corn stove, a "Magnum Baby Countryside" from Alternative Heat of Ohio back in the fall. We now know the HUGE savings we have made on a gas bill that had topped out at $200.00/month budget ! Our corn stove has reduced our gas bill by 3/4 and our house is warm for the first time since we moved in 7 years ago ! The stove provides "clean" heat and is attractive in our living room. Skip and Jackie Laughman, the owners of Alternative Heat of Ohio have been a great resource for everything from stove installation, useage and supplies. We found their prices the most competitive of any of the other places we shopped and their selection of corns stoves the best. Check them out !

CORN BURNER
Jackie,
Just wanted to let you know how we feel about our new corn burner. It is the best money we have ever spent on heat solutions. With the weather at 3 degrees our house has never been below 74 degrees. Our furnace has not been on since we installed our corn burner. It is nice to know there is someone to call with any questions. Your knowledge is priceless. Thank you for everything !!

Hard working, honest people, who have a dream of one day, being a large enough store to hire full time employees.
We burnt wood for our source of heat for 14 years. Then for some reason, one day, the dirt, cutting the wood , making sure the hearth was loaded with wood to be dry, for if the wind blew snow or rain on the porch, I now had wet wood. I my self, never could light the stove without smoking up the house. No problem with the stove, it was just a me thing. My husband works all to the overtime he can get, along with farming and raising livestock. When he worked overtime, he would call and tell me, "Leave the stove alone! I'll get it when I get home, or maybe you could just keep putting wood in it so it doesn't go out !"
I never did well, I didn't like carring wood down 18 steps from off the cold porch. We had a discussion that we needed to come up with another heat source. Anything except for our propane. We bought the 1st corn burner we found. We loved it. Decided this is a good product to help our crop farmers. Make us dependant upon ourselves and not the gas and oil companies.
We started going to trade shows, power shows and any where else we could see corn stoves. We went to manufacturers to see them made and how they work. Then we chose our product line.
We learned that you get what you pay for. We had as much heat going out the exhaust pipe as we had coming in the house. This was a live and learn experience.
The stoves we carry are the effiicent heat horses of the market.
